Vice President Strategic Philanthropy Summary:

  • The VP of Strategic Philanthropy is the second-in-command for the health system's philanthropic enterprise, responsible for leading principal, major and transformational giving across BayCare Health System around top philanthropic priorities.
  • This executive partners with the Chief Philanthropy Officer, senior leaders, physicians and board members to develop and implement system-wide strategies that align donor investment with organizational priorities.
  • The role combines strategic leadership, top-tier donor engagement and team mentorship to maximize philanthropic impact across the system.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years' experience in philanthropy.
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Proven success securing transformational philanthropic gifts ($1M+, $5M+).
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and steward relationships with senior leaders, physicians and high-net-worth donors.
  • Executive presence, credibility and ability to work across a growing, multi-site health system.

Location: St Josephs Foundation
