Duties, Responsibilities & Other:
This position is for an underground foreman with a minimum of 4-8 years of underground experience in open trench.
- Work with construction manager for in-field project set up
- Lead and direct 4-man crew to safely complete projects.
- Select and implement appropriate maintenance of traffic signage and follow safety precautions.
- Identify potential safety hazards. Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized.
- Administer monthly safety meetings.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Understand as-built drawings, roadway plans, and create legible field sketches.
- Possess leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude.
- Experience placing underground cable a plus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
- Know Miss Utility Law.
- Minimum 4 years of underground excavation and shoring experience.
- Operate and maintain mini excavators.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation within 30 days. Having a current Commercial Driver's License is a plus.
- OSHA certification a plus

- Highschool Diploma/GED

- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to maintain required certifications.
