About the jobSchedule: 1:30pm-10pm M-F Pay: $20.50/hr Key Responsibilities: • Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication. • Ensures security of Protected Health Information as per HIPAA requirements. • Collect compounded batches from various areas and bring to the designated area. • Evaluate documents and records for accuracy and completeness. • Collect appropriate number of units from each batch and prepare units to send for testing, including filling out necessary forms to send units as needed. • Retrieve and attach appropriate test results with corresponding batch record for the designated pharmacist to evaluate. • Perform filter integrity testing and document results as needed. • Perform physical inventory count versus inventory documented on batch record. • Perform or assign particle checking of compounded batches as needed. • Perform or assign label printing of compounded batches as needed. • Perform or assign labeling of compounded batches as needed. • Perform terminal sterilization of pharmaceutical products via heat oven.
Set yourself apartBasic Qualifications: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • Computer literacy, including but not limited to, Windows, Office 365 Suites, and Microsoft Teams. • Active/current Pharmacy Technician License required. Registration(s) required by state in which pharmacy is located. Working Conditions: • This position requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time including majority of shifts. Walking, kneeling and bending frequently. • Employees will be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. • Employees will be required to read small print. • Employees will be required to complete and pass a visual inspection competency exam proctored internally. • Employees will be required to perform visual inspection of pharmaceutical containers and products. • Employees will be required to complete a spill team assessment test. • Employees will be required to don Gown and PPE. • Employees will be required to handle hazardous drugs as outlines in NIOSH, including spill cleanup with proper PPE when required. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
