Brief Summary
Title: Systems Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure
You'll Report To: IT Engineering Manager
The Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining all virtual server and container infrastructure for the cloud/premise hybrid environment. This includes virtual server infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters within AWS and Azure, and a VMWare premise environment. This position is also responsible for management of storage across all platforms, including Azure Blob, AWS S3, and a premise HPE Alletra Storage Array.

What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent years of experience in similar position.
Experience: Four (4) to Seven (7) years of technology and/or IT experience. Property and casualty insurance industry experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, full-time in-office. #LI-Onsite
Working Conditions: Normal business office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery or communicate with coworkers.
Travel: Minimum, as required.

What You'll Do
- Design, integrate, and optimize virtual server resources within AWS and Azure clouds.
- Solution design, delivery, and support of container infrastructure including Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage the premise enterprise virtualized server hypervisor (VMWare) and corresponding ESXi host equipment.
- HPE MP Block Storage environment monitoring and management responsibilities
- Cloud Storage monitoring and management responsibilities
- Manage and document all infrastructure changes, including configurations, testing, and maintenance.
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure backups, security, and redundancy strategies.
- Optimization of hosts and servers to ensure high availability and appropriate resource management.
- Standardize and automate processes with scripts.
- Document maintenance and support procedures for routine tasks.
- Conduct high-level root-cause analyses and recommend future state mitigation approaches.
- Communicate with stakeholders to identify project requirements and implement solutions.
- Provide after-hours support on a rotational "on-call" basis and to work "off-hours" as needed.
What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate

- 4-6 years of experience designing, installing and managing virtual server environments and storage arrays within a physical datacenter.
- 3-5 years of experience working with Azure/AWS Virtual Server and container infrastructure
- Prior Administrative Experience with VMWare Hosts and VSphere
- Prior Administrative Experience with Distributed Storage (SAN/NAS)
- Strong PowerShell scripting expertise.
- Strong Active Directory/Entra ID knowledge, familiarity with GPO and OUs/AUs
- Experience administering Windows Server instances.
- Experience managing VDI Endpoints (Azure VDI, Horizon, Citrix)
- Experience with Microsoft Configuration Management (MECM/SCSM, Intune)
- Experience working with monitoring frameworks. (DataDog/SolarWinds/Etc)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience researching technical issues and implementing resolutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, relating to both technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment and to provide assistance, instruction and training.
- Relevant certifications such as MSCE, MCSA, CCNA preferred but not required.
