Summary:
Performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) according to accepted clinical standards of care. Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room and patients to ensure sterile field. Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc. Assists with inventory of sterile supplies. May assist in patient transport.

Requires completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
