We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting department. This position is designed for early-career professionals with 1-2 years of accounting experience who want to gain advanced exposure in a complex, multi-entity healthcare environment while working alongside a collaborative team of finance leaders.
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant's primary responsibility will be to support the Accounting team in routine activities which include maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciliations, preparing journal entries and financial statements, assist with annual budgeting and special projects.

We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting department. Position Summary
The Staff Accountant's primary responsibility will be to support the Accounting team in routine activities which include maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciliations, preparing journal entries and financial statements, assist with annual budgeting and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Fixed Asset and CIP reconciliations and record associated journal entries
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements for multiple entities
- Maintain prepaid schedules and create journal entries
- Reconcile intercompany accounts
- Create and prepare journal entries relating to accounts payables, accruals, and inventory
- Prepare closing journal entries
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Prepare information and respond to internal/external inquiries
- Assist with annual budgeting and analysis
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 1-2 years of experience
- Strong understanding and foundation of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Prior experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
- Prior experience with Athenahealth practice management software is a plus
Location Requirement
- This role is based in Tampa, FL and requires regular on-site presence.
- Only candidates currently located in or actively relocating to the Tampa Bay area will be considered.
