Project Manager


Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization, and we are seeking a self-driven individual to complement our growing team.


As a Siemens Advanced Manufacturing Sector Program Manager, you will lead and manage a cross functional program delivery team to scope, design, procure, install and commission an advanced, digitally integrated manufacturing capability. You will establish and communicate clear program priorities and program activities. This role is the primary point of contact to align the customer, stakeholders, and the multiple Siemens business unit delivery teams.

As part of the Advanced Manufacturing team, you will lead, guide and work with Facility (SGT) , Digital Software (DI-SW), and Automation (DI AUT) Project Managers, integrating their team's efforts to achieve a One Siemens result for the Customer.


Responsibilities:

•Manage the Anniston Advanced Manufacturing program through the Project life cycle, leveraging PM Siemens project management framework and the Siemens Delivery Framework

•Lead Program wide governance approach. Coordinate with scope specific Project Managers to execute project governance.

•Manage customer requirements and program scope to achieve program objectives, effectively coordinating project expectations with customers and stakeholders in a timely and concise fashion.

•Manage and combine individual subproject schedules into an integrated Master schedule, coordinating interdependencies between sub-projects to ensure on time delivery.

•Manage cross functional, multi-team configuration and deployment activities including software, industrial equipment manufacturers and Facilities experts. These team members will be coordinated to complete the design, procurement, installation, configuration, validation, and acceptance of the facility improvements and planned Manufacturing Capabilities.

•Work with third-party contractors to ensure overall program execution and success including site safety planning, material ordering coordination, and solution/system validation.

•Provide program management activities to control scope, cost, schedule, and quality across all sub elements.

•Define and execute required processes in alignment with stakeholders including appropriate communication to all levels. Lead Internal Steerco communication development and presentation with responsibility for results.

•Perform program quality management, ensuring that the solution meets contractual requirements and is to the appropriate quality and management compliance for industry or customer protocols, regulations, and standards.

•Perform program reviews and retrospectives regularly and present the results and lessons learned to the program and organization.

•Ensure the projects in the program are meeting the approved budget and agreed margin and are reviewed on a regular basis.

•Conduct Stakeholder meetings to manage and guide stakeholders through scope clarification, design review and installation activities

•Set the standard and maintain project artifacts such as status, risk, issues, opportunities (RIO), schedule or IMS, decision log, program management plan, safety plan, FMEA, CAP, or other artifacts as needed to support project rigor as required by customer, PM@ Siemens, or industry standards.

•Perform project risk management including planning, identification, analysis, mitigation planning and controlling to include FMEA and CAP as required.

•Confidence creating and presenting content to all levels of management, both internal and external.

•Coordinate difficult scope, cost, resource conversations with customers.

•Lead successful project closeout and successful user-acceptance and adoption of deployed project capability; or participated in customer witness tests or similar events, industrial equipment validation and start up procedures. Coordinate integration of all Systems

•Manage contract acceptance and handover of projects to the customer. Develop proactive closeout procedures to avoid extended on site durations.

•In conjunction with Engagement Management, identify, and create new opportunities and renewals for current projects/programs.

•Mentor and support the development of team members.

•Perform duties in compliance with SGT Project Management Standards.

Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent years of experience (8+) in technical fields of work.

•Eight to ten years in a project manager/leadership role, guiding a cross-functional team of project managers and consultants during significant facility or industrial equipment implementation.

•Eight to ten years of experience working in a US Federal Government customer-facing environment with a focus on USACE/NAVFAC Construction processes. Including US Federal Government projects, contracts, policies, procedures and quality and safety programs.

•Knowledge of Change Management processes.

•Product Scheduling experience with Critical path method schedules using MS Projects, Primavera or similar software.

•Demonstrated experience operating within an industrial setting such as a plant, shop, building infrastructure, shipboard, or other industrial setting.

•Proactive self-starter who can build a team to meet project delivery requirements, performing independently in high-pressure situations with little supervision.

•Leadership skills and proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams, including services

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience working with third party contractors.

•PMP Certification, with working knowledge of project management processes and tools is highly preferred.

•Experience building effective project teams from separate organizations, establishing program governance, organizational effectiveness and program data interchange.

•Use of Program/Project management software a plus.

•Experience implementing industrial equipment such as CNC machine tools, conveyers, PLCs, plant automation, manufacturing centers, SCADA, cabling, electrical, or other industrial infrastructure.

•Experience connecting cloud infrastructure with on-premise IT/OT networks

•Proven experience working with distributed, remote teams across multiple disciplines and time zones.

•Ability to promote complex solutions and drive acceptance with confidence.

•Working knowledge of using AI tools to support project management execution.

Travel:

•Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%

Security Clearance:

•Candidate must be US citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US federal agency security clearance.

The pay range for this position is $133,500.00 - $200,300.00 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
