POSITION SUMMARY:

The Restoration Technician Apprentice is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a career in the restoration industry. This position works alongside experienced technicians and leaders to learn the fundamentals of water mitigation, demolition, drying techniques, and job site operations.

The Apprentice supports day-to-day activities on job sites while developing the skills necessary to perform restoration work safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Job Site Tasks
  • Perform assigned restoration tasks as directed by technicians or supervisors
  • Assist with job site setup, cleanup, and maintaining an organized work area

SOP & Safety Compliance
  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times

Demolition Assistance
  • Perform basic demolition tasks under supervision using hand and power tools
  • Remove debris and prepare affected areas for restoration work

Equipment Handling
  • Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down drying equipment as instructed

Drying Assistance
  • Observe and assist with moisture readings and equipment monitoring
  • Support documentation tasks as assigned

Warehouse & Vehicle Maintenance
  • Clean and organize company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure all materials are properly stored and ready for use

Customer Presence
  • Maintain a professional appearance and respectful behavior on job sites
  • Follow direction when interacting with customers

Attendance & Work Habits
  • Arrive on time and ready to work each day
  • Follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and demonstrate a willingness to learn

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow within the restoration industry
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Basic knowledge or interest in construction, plumbing, or restoration preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong customer service skills with a desire to help people in difficult situations
  • IICRC certification is a plus (not required)
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to learn, improve, and grow within the company

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move 50 pounds or more regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in environments with water, moisture, dust, and debris
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and varying temperatures
  • Capable of operating tools, equipment, and machinery safely
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
