The Registered Nurse in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of pediatric cardiac ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. Shift: Shift 3
Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
Weekend Work: Every Other

- Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
- Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
- Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
- Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
- Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
- High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- 1 year RN Acute Care experience within Peds ICU, Peds Cardiac ICU or 2 years of Adult Cardiac ICU
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
