JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations for a large, multi-state workforce of approximately 3,000 employees. This role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing.

The position is hybrid, with on-site presence required at our Tampa (Avion Park) office located near Tampa International Airport.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own and execute full-cycle payroll processing for a multi-state employee population (approximately 3,000 employees)
  • Ensure end-to-end payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely execution with minimal oversight
  • Support data validation, parallel testing, and issue resolution during HRIS migration
  • Lead payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end activities (W-2s, tax filings, etc.)
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local wage and hour laws to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Handle complex payroll matters, including multi-state taxation, adjustments, and off-cycle payments
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Document payroll processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of payroll or HR/finance experience, preferably in healthcare or MSO environment
  • Strong experience with payroll systems (UKG Pro preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • 4+ years of payroll administration experience in a high-volume environment
  • Proven track record of owning payroll operations in a complex, multi-entity or healthcare/MSO environment
  • Hands-on experience with a large-scale payroll system required; experience supporting a payroll or HRIS system transition is a plus
  • Proven experience supporting HRIS or payroll system implementations
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and data integrity
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and operate with a strong sense of urgency
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Ability to work hybrid from the Tampa area office
