Job Description

Job Duties

• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components to construct various structures and products according to blueprints and job specifications, for commercial roofing systems.

• Review job files to ensure all project-specific details are followed accurately.

• Regularly inspect tools, equipment, and machinery; perform routine maintenance as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Carry out basic repairs and upkeep on fabrication tools and equipment.

• Verify that all finished products meet established quality standards and project requirements.

• Support the training and onboarding of new team members in sheet metal fabrication processes for commercial roofing applications.

• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications accurately.

• Experience with computerized sheet metal folder, preferred.

• 1+ years of experience in fabrication and machine operation, preferred.

• Forklift certification preferred

• Must be able to climb a ladder; position may require lifting up to 80 lbs.

• Must be able to work outside in all elements (heat, cold, rain)

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment with varying environmental temperature conditions. Must be able to work in varied extreme temperature conditions (extreme hot and extreme cold).

• Repetitive bending, squatting, twisting, and stopping with infrequent lifting up to 120 pounds is required. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

• Operating heavy equipment is required regularly.

• Perform work in a fast-paced environment with precise production standards.

• Repetitive finger/hand/forearm motion necessary for fabricating metal used in the production of a commercial roof.

• May be required to climb ladders for accessing a roof while on a quality inspection or during installation. Exposure to heights when accessing a roof.

• Must be able to wear a full body harness when necessary for fall protection.

• Must be able to wear a respirator when necessary due to the environment.
