Summary
Position is responsible for reviewing Breast Imaging recommendations that are on the dictated radiology reports and entering those in a specialized software program to generate patient result letters, reminder letters and track statistics in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Also processes orders for CT Lung Screening and assists with submissions to NRDR.
Essential Functions
• Process simple interface orders that come over from the RIS system.
• Generate and print reminder and result letters from the MRS system.
• Operate inserter/folder machine so that the mammography letters are sent out timely to patients.
• Process letters that are return by mail.
• Answer occasional calls and assist callers.
• Identify problems with dictated radiology reports and patient accounts.
• Process complex interface orders that come over from the RIS system.
• Process CT Lung Screening cases.
• Report both CT Lung Screening and Breast Imaging problem cases to appropriate personnel.
• Generate biopsy follow up letters, document findings, and resolve cases.
• Generate simple reports.
• Assist in processing Unresolved Problem Cases.
• All other duties assigned.

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
• One-year experience in healthcare related field preferred
Additional Information
• Ability to read and write effectively in English
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and HIPAA
• Some knowledge of mammography and women's breast imaging
• Knowledge of essential job functions of Mammography Tracking Specialist
• Knowledge of company policies including safety, privacy regulation
• Proficient in computer skills and principal
• Medical software product (RIS) experience (EPIC) preferred
