Maintenance and Electrician Techinician

Garland Food, a fast-growing leader in the food manufacturing industry, is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with electrical expertise to join both our shifts, second shift team (4:00pm - 12:30 pm) / First shift ( 7:00 am - 3:30pm) Help us deliver fresh, high-quality products by ensuring our equipment stays in top shape.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will work closely with Production staff and Supervisors to support team goals in Quality, Productivity, and Delivery. The ideal candidate will have prior maintenance experience, strong electrical knowledge, and a proactive attitude toward equipment upkeep and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks around the facility.
• Apply preventative measures to reduce future risks and minimize downtime.
• Identify and fix potential safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide manufacturing line support through preventative maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
• Rebuild machines, equipment, or structures as needed.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities to boost equipment efficiency.
• Remove, replace, and adjust defective machine parts.
• Follow all company safety standards and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance and electrical and welding experience required.
• Strong technical understanding and knowledge of equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends if necessary.
• Ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
• Manufacturing background preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
