This position is responsible for:
The Lead Resident Monitor duties primarily involve providing an advanced level of direct services in a long-term shelter environment (three months or more). This role is to model leadership to other Resident Monitors in the duties of maintaining order, rule compliance, and ensuring a safe and drug-free environment while working collaboratively with other staff to provide quality services and maintaining a therapeutic community. Accepts and processes residents into HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) in order for them to stay in lodge/shelter overnight; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance to behavioral expectations; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that lodge is maintained in a neat and proper order.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules and assigns work of Resident Monitors; instructs and trains employees in proper methods and procedures; monitors work in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with established shelter/lodge policies and procedures; assists employees in resolving routine problems; notifies Manager of unique or personnel problems.
- Provides an advanced level of custody, care and supervision to clients during all shifts; models professional demeanor, attitude and boundaries to staff
- Monitors the activities of the lodge residents ensuring safety and compliance with house rules; Monitors cameras and makes periodic rounds of entire facility; records and unique situations occurring on assigned shift.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
- Work is performed in a facility where there is little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires performance of duties in social services environments were exposure to communicable and infectious diseases as possible.

- High School diploma or G.E.D AND
- Four years of related experience in the social services field with six months of supervisory experience OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR and First-Aid training certification
