Summary

The Key Account Team Manager is responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations, establishing strategies and implementing plans to increase department productivity while producing quality service. Focus will be on leadership of an assigned area to guide towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth consistent with company vision and values.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 2-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the transportation and logistics industry


  1. Firm understanding of the commercial transportation industry with strong working knowledge of operation, logistics, and transportation.


  1. One to two years of supervisory experience preferred. Strong employee performance management, training and coaching, recognition, and reward skills preferred.


  1. Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish trust and rapport with all levels of staff. Able to relate effectively to diverse cultures.


  1. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.


  1. Ability to negotiate skillfully in challenging situations with both internal and external customers.


  1. Strong planning and problem-solving skills; able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Able to gather and analyze information and develop alternative solutions.


  1. Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit


  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.


  1. Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Establish and communicate strategies and goals, aligning employee effort in pursuit of department objectives; lead the team in building revenue from customer accounts on boarded by the sales division.


  1. Collaborate with other Logistics Managers, both is Sales and Operations to ensure maximum utilization of employees.


  1. Partner with Human Resources in the recruiting, interviewing, selection, on-boarding, and training of new employees.


  1. Provide effective employee performance management utilizing SMART goals, constructive feedback, coaching for improvement, and progressive discipline; assist in design and implement on-going training for current employees; recommend development plan priorities for individual employees of the team and monitor progress against development priorities.


  1. Provide recognition and encouragement for milestone achievement and results.


  1. Works with Operations, Sales, and Sales Managers in the divisions supported to meet business needs.


  1. Customer Relationship Management responsibilities; serve as a point of problem escalation and resolution.


  1. Monitors revenue for team to ensure growth.


  1. Provide support to the group to make quality business decisions.

Supervisory Responsibility

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ATS's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • A base salary range of $55,000 to $75,000. Base salary offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
