Responsibilities

With Employment Services, this position assists with activities and hiring processes associated with OPS Express appointments. Provides support to the Employment unit with business documentation, customer services, and system testing.
  • Responsible for reviewing and processing all OPS Express OMNI Job Offers, ensuring job details are compliant with University, State, and Federal guidelines. Enforces university payroll deadlines to ensure employees are paid accurately and timely. Reviews appointment details and duties to determine background check requirements per University policy. Launches candidate invites in the Onboarding Portal and provides candidate onboarding troubleshooting assistance. Ensures outstanding customer service is provided to all internal and external customers.
  • Runs email merges to notify departments of candidates who have not responded to their onboarding invitation and those pending Onboarding portal. Sends follow-up inquiries to departments for candidates with start dates that have passed. Proactively resends onboarding invitations to candidates before they are set to expire.
  • Responsible for interpretation of employment process, policies, and procedures. Assists in the development and update of procedures for the posting, screening, routing, and hiring for University vacancies.
  • Monitors assigned email inboxes. Responds to inquiries from departments, applicants and onboarders in a timely manner. Takes appropriate actions on system records.
  • Assists with system testing for enhancements, upgrades, and fixes to the OMNI Recruiting and Onboarding modules. Assists with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
