WORK ENVIROMENT:
Very visible position supporting internal and external customers statewide.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:
Will be required to occasionally drive a state vehicle to other DCF sights in the Suncoast Region (Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota). MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORK
OVERNIGHT TRAVEL: May occasionally have overnight travel in Suncoast Region during emergencies. The staff member will have to report to 9393 N Florida Ave Tampa FL33612 Monday -Friday 8-5 at their own expense. Any travel from that location will be on a state vehicle and that include gas, tolls, and maintenance. If an overnight is required which BTW it doesn't happen often and is usually related to Emergency Management activities , yes hotel is included, and we provide meals or reimbursement.
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBLITES:
•
Log and report your time accurately.
•
Follow directives from supervisor and team
leaders.
•
Communication is key, you are expected to use
the phone and email system to communicate across the agency.
•
Compliance with CFOP 40-2 Vehicle Management, maintain
your state vehicle and other state vehicles, and submit the monthly logs in a
timely manner.
•
Assisting with internal and external moves for
the department.
•
Making keys for employees who request them and
managing a log of who has one.
•
Managing the keycard system for several sites.
•
Disposing of surplus materials and furniture in
accordance with CFOP 80-2.
•
Supplying employees with furniture and desks as
needed.
•
Install whiteboards, corkboards and pictures
across the region in offices and hallways.
•
Assuring you always show up to a site prepared
with hand dollies and the necessary tools to get the job done and be
responsible for equipment/tools issued to you.
•
Assist with IT with equipment move and when a
large move is taking place.
•
Using the correct hand dollies to move very
large and very heavy items such as filing cabinets and desks and follow CFOP
215-4 Safety & Loss Control.
•
Making sure everything is operating as it should
be at facilities, AC/Lights/Etc. so that employees can work comfortably.
•
Learning many different areas, where to go, and
who to see. GPS is your friend!
•
Each site you go to, introduce yourself
professionally and give them a business card. Creating a directory will benefit
you, as you will always have a point of contact for the site you're visiting.
•
Maintain the warehouse and make sure it stays as
neat and tidy as possible, and if you can, keep all isles clear.
•
When you need to order supplies, or request a PO
for keys, ask as soon as possible, because the process can take a while. Never
authorize services without a purchase order.
•
When the state of Florida is impacted by a
hurricane, you will need to assist with Disaster Management to prepare our
facilities and assets for the event and recovery efforts.
•
Assuring all sites have NO safety issues before
leaving. All safety issues need to be dealt with immediately.
•
When someone is trespassing on state property,
you need to ask them to leave. If they refuse, call 911 and immediately inform Ricardo
Resendiz and Billy Ramos.
•
Transfer surplus IT equipment to the Wildwood
warehouse.
•
Conducting site inspections as directed across
the region.
