Primary Job Functions
1. Lead community engagement and outreach strategy, strengthening community partnerships, supporting team development and ensuring consistent, high-quality outreach across all Family Resource Center locations and service areas.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Collaborate with FRC leadership, team, community partners, and stakeholders to increase awareness of FRC services, expand community partnerships, promote family participation, and strengthen the organization's presence throughout the communities it serves.
- Coordinate outreach initiatives, resource fairs, workshops, family/neighborhood engagement activities, and community presentations.
- Plan and oversee the logistics of outreach events, staffing, materials, vendor participation, community partners, volunteers, and setup.
- Collaborate with Family Resource Center leadership to identify priority neighborhoods, populations, and outreach opportunities based on community needs and organizational goals.
- Promote FRC services through presentations, community meetings, neighborhood events, and public engagement opportunities.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, schools, faith-based organizations, businesses, government agencies, neighborhood associations, and other community stakeholders.
- Represent the Family Resource Center at community meetings, coalitions, networking events, and collaborative initiatives.
- Identify new partnership opportunities that increase access to resources and services for families.
- Recruit community partners, vendors, volunteers, and presenters for workshops, and outreach events.
- Ensure workshops and community events are scheduled, promoted, staffed, and evaluated for effectiveness.
- Support collaborative planning of educational workshops and resource events with community organizations.
Outreach Leadership
- Facilitate regular outreach team meetings and planning sessions.
- Collaborate with Family and Community Engagement team and other CHS staff to ensure coordinated service delivery.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive outreach calendar, coordinate workshops, community events, engagement initiatives, and ensuring outreach efforts align with organizational goals and community needs.
- Monitor outreach metrics including participation, community contacts, referrals, workshops, engagement, and partnership activities.
- Strategically schedule outreach activities to maximize community impact, family participation, and efficient use of staff resources.
- Monitor outreach performance and participation data to evaluate engagement strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop outreach goals, performance measures, and engagement strategies that align with Family Resource Center objectives.
- Oversee outreach marketing, campaigns, social media efforts, newsletters, promotional materials, and community awareness initiatives.
- Coordinate development of outreach materials, success stories, press releases, and promotional content highlighting Family Resource Center services and community impact.
- Review and analyze outreach data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure timely completion of outreach documentation, event reports, calendars, attendance records, and engagement data.
- Oversee collection of participant satisfaction surveys, Protective Factors Retro Surveys, and other feedback tools to evaluate outreach effectiveness and support continuous quality improvement.
- Prepare monthly outreach reports, performance dashboards, and summaries for Family Resource Center leadership.
- Ensure consistent outreach practices, branding, messaging, and family engagement strategies across all Family Resource Center sites.
- Ensure outreach messaging remains family-centered, culturally responsive, and consistent with CHS branding.
2. Recruit, develop and lead a team capable of supporting CHS performance and growth strategies (complying with COA Standard T3, when appropriate), while fostering an engaging, positive work environment.
- Recruit and supervise team members, fostering their development, including the transfer of knowledge obtained through training.
- Establish annual team goals and objectives; track and report results
- Coach, support, and evaluate team member performance, taking corrective action if needed.
- Deliver timely communication through regular management and team meetings.
- Implement policies and practices designed to prevent, recognize, and respond to work-related stress.
- Comply and confirm compliance with the CHS code of conduct, policies, practices, and legal obligations.
- Participate in succession planning to build the bench strength necessary for future talent needs.
- Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues, best practices, and trends.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, training, and education, as well as the quality process.
- Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Job Qualifications
Education, Licenses & Certifications:
- Required - Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Administration, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, or a related field required.
- Florida Driver's License within 30 days from hire is required, along with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
Experience:
- Required - Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, outreach, family services, nonprofit leadership, or program management. Experience analyzing outreach data and using performance metrics to improve engagement strategies.
Preferred - Minimum one to two years of supervisory or team leadership experience. Planning and managing community outreach campaigns, workshops, public events, and strategic partnerships. Supervising outreach staff, volunteers, or multidisciplinary teams. Strong experience building collaborative partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
Knowledge of:
- Community Solutions general principles, practices, and performance standards. Various community resources and networks to enhance client experiences and results. Maintain current knowledge of community engagement best practices, family strengthening strategies, and emerging community resources. General confidentiality requirements and ethical standards in handling sensitive client-related and other data.
