Requirements:
Certification:
- Required - BLS (Basic Life Support)
Education:
- Required - High School or Equivalent
Experience:
- Preferred - 1 year - Related field
Responsibilities:
- Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks.
- Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers of patients within the endoscopy suite, holding, and recovery areas.
- Orients patients and significant others to the unit.
- Maintains environment by cleaning and storing equipment, disposing of linens, and stocking supplies
- Keeps patient areas clear of trash and clutter, cleans, disinfects and sterilizes endoscopy equipment and stretchers
- On-call/weekend shifts
- Demonstrates interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Must have computer, written and verbal communication skills appropriate to the position
- Show strong organizational, customer service, time management, administrative, and clerical skills
