Director of Ambulatory Surgery Centers Summary
- Participate in planning, policy development, and priority setting for all BayCare Outpatient Surgery Centers.
- Ensure that Outpatient Surgical Services and other assigned clinical areas have policies that are consistent with the overall goals of the health system.
- Ensure compliance in the provision of care to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO, and established national standards of care).
- Collaborate with other directors, administrators, medical staff, and departments to provide and maintain optimal services in a cost-effective manner.
- Promote evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Experience
- 5 years of surgical-related experience
- 5 years of management experience or 3 years of surgery management experience
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field
- Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field
Credentials
- Required: Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC)
- Required: Valid Florida Driver's License
- Preferred: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
