Position: Principal Mechanical Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL
Salary: $130K/yr - $170K/yr + Benefits + Relocation
Full-Time Role/Direct-Hire
Job Description:
Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm with a quick path to equity.
Responsibilities:
• Establish an HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection team.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop technical deliverables; including construction plans & specifications.
• Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
• Perform construction administration duties; including attending and documenting project meetings, conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with the development of change order, closeout, and other construction documentation.
• Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of related experience
• P.E. License
• Revit experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• AHCA Experience
• Healthcare experience
