Role description
Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Responsibilities:
• Identify new platform capabilities in coordination with multiple teams across the organization, infrastructure & other engineering teams.
• Actively participate in the architectural design, implementation, and management of new technologies to achieve these capabilities.
• Driven - goal and outcome oriented
• Attention to detail - ensuring best possible outcomes, technically and for the business. detail oriented.
• Process oriented , Ability to handle multiple deliverables
• Work with platform users to understand their issues & requirements, then translate them to platform wide improvements.
• Develop, maintain, and utilize technical documentation and architectural diagrams.
• Provides technical leadership and is responsible for developing components of, or the overall systems design.
• Guides, influences, and persuades others with developed communication and diplomacy skills.
• Performs other job duties and functions as assigned
Qualifications:
• 8+ years relevant experience Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments.
• Knowledge of PlantUML and C4 diagrams, JIRA , KANBAN
• Containerization and Microservices design
• Any other technical subject matter expertise that may be of value - AWS, Data Architecture, API design, Apigee, AI tools
• Preferred experience in the Banking domain, particularly in compliance-driven environments
• Proven experience in managing assessment and PoC of strategic technologies.
• Strong communication skills, with the capability to advise on engineering topics at both a technical & executive level.
• Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly
• Execute proofs of concept to validate product and tool selections
• Formal training in application architecture methodologies, standards, and patterns
