Clinician provides advanced professional nursing care, applying independent clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills to manage high-acuity patient populations. The role integrates direct patient care with unit-level clinical leadership, supporting care coordination, patient safety, and operational effectiveness. The Clinician collaborates with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure care delivery aligns with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver and coordinate advanced nursing care using comprehensive assessment, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based practice.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized, goal-directed plans of care.
  • Identify, communicate, and intervene in clinical situations requiring escalation or rapid response.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and team leader for nursing staff, particularly in high-risk or emergent situations.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership on unit operations, including patient flow, staffing coordination, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Support performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives at the unit and organizational level.
  • Delegate and supervise clinical activities based on staff competency, scope of practice, and patient needs.
  • Participate in orientation, precepting, and ongoing clinical development of staff as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing -
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida OR Compact State
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in an acute care or specialty clinical setting.

    Experience in high-acuity environments such as trauma, critical care, emergency services, or comparable setting.
