HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to join a highly skilled team supporting complex and life-saving cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
In this role, you will work alongside cardiovascular surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure safe, efficient surgical care while maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique and patient safety.

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to join a highly skilled team supporting complex and life-saving cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
In this role, you will work alongside cardiovascular surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure safe, efficient surgical care while maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique and patient safety.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields for cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures.
- Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and specialty equipment required for complex CVOR cases.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and actively assist throughout operative procedures.
- Handle, pass, and account for instruments, sponges, and supplies according to established protocols.
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection prevention standards.
- Assist with operating room turnover and case preparation.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing quality and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required
- A current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is required
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
- A minimum of one year of recent CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience is required
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and cardiovascular procedures is required
