• Applies in-depth knowledge of surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring proper
election, handling, and maintenance for optimal procedural outcomes.
• Utilizes critical thinking and advanced problem-solving abilities in high-stakes, complex surgical
ituations, anticipating and addressing surgical team needs.
• Applies competent knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical anatomy, and operative procedure

participating in departmental or hospital-wide committees, such as Laser Safety, Proce
Improvement, or Emergency Response.

Qualifications
- Graduate of Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Surgical Technology Programs OR Military Surgical Technology Program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Tech in Surgery (TS-C) from National Center for Competency Testing
- Three (3) years of surgical experience. Demonstrated competency in at least five (5) surgical specialties.
