Experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers can expect established freight primarily east of I-35, regular home time, and assigned equipment. Rouse Trucking hauls building materials, pipe, coils, and similar flatbed freight with a schedule built around productive time on the road and 34-48 hour resets at home.

Flatbed Freight & Pay

Drivers earn $1,675 to $1,775 per week with 70 CPM paid on loaded and empty miles.
  • Additional $30 paid on every load
  • Tarping needed on approximately 3 out of 5 loads
  • $30 load pay applies whether tarping is required or not
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus for solo drivers

Load securement and tarping are regular parts of the position, so drivers should be comfortable with hands-on flatbed work.

Home Time & Running Area

Home time is every 7-14 days with a 34-48 hour reset. The primary running area is generally east of I-35, providing established freight coverage while maintaining regular scheduled time at home.

Truck & Trailer

Rouse Trucking provides assigned equipment with no need to switch trucks between trips.
  • 2020 through 2025 Peterbilt 567 and 579 tractors
  • Automatic and manual transmission options
  • 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers

Drivers may take their assigned truck home when they have a safe place to park it. Regular maintenance helps support dependable operation and reduce downtime.
