Position Details
Join a growing cardiac surgery team with Florida Heart and Lung Institute. The position offers hands-on cardiothoracic surgical responsibilities within a team of two cardiothoracic surgeons and five APPs.

Position Details
- Position: Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant
- Location: Central Florida
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
- Call: Minimum 1:4, including one weekend/month
Join a growing cardiac surgery team with Florida Heart and Lung Institute. The position offers hands-on cardiothoracic surgical responsibilities within a team of two cardiothoracic surgeons and five APPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cardiothoracic surgery APP support.
- Perform surgical first-assist duties.
- Participate in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting.
- Support inpatient and operative cardiac surgery care.
- Participate in shared call responsibilities.
- Board certified Physician Assistant.
- Surgical First Assist experience required.
- Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience required.
- Advanced heart failure experience with LVAD, Impella, ECMO or heart transplant is a bonus.
- Team of 2 cardiothoracic surgeons and 5 APPs
- Minimum 1:4 call
- One weekend per month
