Collects data via Labor and Delivery log, patient charts and patient interviews; compiles that information for the processing of birth certificates via the Office of Vital Statistics; notarizes Birth Certificates, as necessary; orders and dispenses car seats, supplies, etc., as necessary. Initiates the process to obtain social security numbers for the babies, if desired by the parents. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the values of Tampa General Hospital, and the requirements for the State of Florida and the Office of Vital Statistics. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
