Role description
Title: AWS Cloud Security Architect
Location: Albany, New York
Experience:12+ years in AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Architecture roles.
Seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Consultant with expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in AWS networking and infrastructure, including VPC design, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Direct Connect, account vending, security groups, and multi-AZ/multi-region architectures. Experience with CloudWatch, X-Ray, log aggregation, observability, ing pipelines, and monitoring frameworks is essential. Candidates should possess deep knowledge of Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, service mesh networking, ALB/NLB configuration, auto-scaling, and container platform operations. Strong understanding of IAM, KMS, network security, disaster recovery planning, RTO/RPO definitions, multi-region resiliency, failover testing, AWS FIS, ARC, and Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code is required.
Must Have: AWS Networking (VPC, TGW, Direct Connect, PrivateLink), CloudWatch/X-Ray, EKS/Kubernetes, IAM, KMS, Resiliency & DR Architecture, Terraform.
Good to Have: AWS MWAA, Step Functions, S3, AWS Transfer Family.
