The Armada Competition Manager will oversee the daily operations and strategic development of our varsity and community gaming programs. They are responsible for coordinating team schedules, facilitating high-quality scrimmages, and leading detailed VOD reviews to enhance tactical performance. Beyond logistics, they will serve as a vital mentor to student-athletes and act as the primary liaison between coaching staff and the athletic department to ensure a cohesive competitive vision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead internal tryouts, evaluating enrolled Full Sail students to build and manage rosters across multiple titles and leagues
- Keep an active pulse on incoming students and the broader Full Sail community to identify strong candidates before tryouts even open
- Run practices, scrims, and competition schedules with intention and consistency
- Use VOD review and performance analysis as regular teaching tools -- not just when something goes wrong, but as a core part of how this program develops players
- Oversee and develop the coaching structure - whether that means working directly with individual coaches or managing relationships with external coaching programs that provide coaches to the program
- Monitor student-athlete academic eligibility and stay ahead of any roster implications before they become problems
- Manage player registration, roster documentation, and league compliance across all active titles
- Serve as the primary point of contact during live competition - this role is present and accountable when matches are happening
- Collaborate with Armada staff across functions to ensure the competitive program is well-supported and well-represented

- Strong coaching instincts and the ability to develop coaches, not just players
- Someone who thrives in a structured environment and genuinely wants to go deep on competition rather than wide across everything
- Collaborative by nature - this role works within a team, not around one
Education and/or Experience:
- Meaningful experience in collegiate esports - specifically building and running competitive teams, not just participating in them
- A track record across multiple leagues and titles at the collegiate level

Work is performed in an office environment.
